How To Build Your Own Recording studio?
Macbook Pro (13 inch, Early 2011)
Today's pick up is probably the the most essential and significant piece towards owning my first recording studio. If you haven't gotten a chance to read any of my other posts titled, "How To Build Your Own Recording studio?" then I'll just fill you in a little bit. What I hope to achieve with these post are to help other artists like myself, by trying to document my progress the best that I can and share this experience in an easy how-to-format. Of course I like the thought of thinking my raw insight could be of some help to readers of all financial status, but what I'm really hoping for is to touch that everyday independent artist. I'm definitely working on a budget and I consider each purchase as an investment. I'd say, if your thinking about building your own studio--the first thing you should do it prioritize and come up with a list of things you feel necessary to buy.Processor and memory
- 2.3GHz dual-core Intel Core i5 processor with 3MB shared L3 cache or 2.7GHz dual-core Intel Core i7 processor with 4MB shared L3 cache
- 4GB (two 2GB SO-DIMMs) of 1333MHz DDR3 memory; two SO-DIMM slots support up to 8GB

How To Build Your Own Recording Studio?
I picked up a pair of Beats By Dr. Dre headphones today. Right now I feel real good about my progression towards having my own transportable recording studio ;) Mmm, I can almost taste my inevitable independence. Today's pick-up was a pretty big one I guess, every studio has to have headphones right?
It's might seem like a simple addition, but my decision to go with these actually took some thought though. Now, unless you been under a Rock for the past few years, you know that the studio headphone industry is booming. Honestly, Dr. Dre's decision to design and put his name on a pair of headphone was pure genius. Looking at it through my business eyes--the partnership with monster and Dre pushed the brand that is Dr. Dre to an entirely new level. Really, it was like he took a page out of one of Donald Trump's books. Just like Trump revolutionized the way people looked at real estate in the 80s, sales reputation in the 90s, and personal branding in the new millennium. Dr. Dre has forever changed the headphone game. Now you can buy head phones designed by all your favorite artist such as 50 Cent, Ludacris, Lady Gaga, and Nick Cannon, just to name a few.
They all claim to be best. At first I shied away from the beats because I'm not one to just jump on the band wagon or believe in the hype, but I gotta say that these headphones are an investment. Studio quality, comfortable, durable, and the bass is amazing.

Who Is Antoine Edmonson?
It's crazy how time flies when your young, ambitious, and on your grind. It was back in 2005 when I first met Antoine Edmonson. I was a freshman at the university of Cincinnati, it was my first day on campus and my whole family had just left after a proud celebration of both laughter and tears. I was extremely excited at the time, so I decided to walk up and down the dorm room halls and greet all my peers. The very first person I met was a kid from Dayton, OH, who we called "Ace". Ace was a quiet playboy and turned out to be one of my best friends at this time. Ace was best friends with Antoine, so I met him first through this connection. He lived in a different building and did his thing in different circles, so me and Antoine would only brush shoulders occasionally at the club or at a frat party. We always seem to have this mutual respect thing going on between us.This dude was always polished, it was almost like a friendly competition. We where all kinda the same and into the same things. Whether it was said or not, back then, it was all about being fly and having new shoes, clothes, and girls. This is just my perspective, of course, but whatever the case my be Antoine was always somebody that I looked up to and thought was headed in the right direction. Fast forward a few years (2008), I'm in LA really just beginning my journey and I reconnected with Antoine again. This time he's out here as well making big moves as the rapper Wally Vega, which I thought was a crazy dope rap name but at some point he must have decided to drop the moniker, a decision I understand and respect as well. Along the way he heard what I was doing and has giving me nothing but kind words and inspiration since day one. I think no matter what kinda music you're into, when you listen to Antoine you relate to his story. The title of his latest release is available on iTunes and is called B.O.A.T.S. thats an acronym for "based on a true story". This body of music is put together in a real amazing way and his live performances are energy packed. All the production is Grade A and sets the tone while he gives his testimonies and explains his growth into who he is now and where he sees himself in the future. His ability as a writer and a lyricist truly puts him in a lane of his own. His evident spiritual faith and high moral compass is the real reason why I chose to write about him in my second shout-out post. Antoine is a devout christian and not afraid to stand up for what he believes in. Please take your time and check out his music and connect with him across his growing social presence. Antoine, I want you to know that I'm happy for you bro. God bless you. I salute the divinity in you and hope you achieve every righteous desire in your heart.
Love This Freestyle.

If you want 20% off on your next purchase on http://karmaloop.com just put in rep code: PeterParker513
http://karmaloop.com is by far in my mind the most dominate, and most influential online boutique/store on the web. You can find their promotional ads literally everywhere. The products they feature for both male and female are crazy exclusive. It's all the the newest trending styles from brands you won't find in stores. Chances are if you call yourself fresh or got that swagg that the haters just love, http://karmaloop.com is something that you know all about, but the real purpose of me writing this post was to explain in my own words what being a member of the karmaloop rep team is.
Here's a few questions I want you to ask yourself first:
- Do you like to be fresh?
- Does the term "fresh to death" mean anything to you?
- Do you like knowing you're getting the best deals possible when you shop?
- Is your swagg really on point?
- Are you looking for new ways to network, make new connections and build better relationships with your followers, friends, fans, and supporters?
- Do you want free clothing, and extra cash?
If you answered yes to one or more of these questions then you should become the newest karmaloop rep team member. Here's how it works: You can join by going to http://karmaloop.com, then look to the bottom right click on the tab that says "rep team". Fill out a short forum, punch in your email, and that's it. They will give you a rep code that all your friends can use and save big money on their swagg. you will earn points and get free swagg and cash.
One of the most exciting things about this possibility is the fact that you can be as creative as you like with spreading the word and getting your rep code out. You can make videos. You can post flyers in your city, town, or neighborhood. You can make custom tweets, share photos on Instagram, Facebook, and Pinterest.
Please look forward to me sharing my experience as I become an active rep on http://karmaloop.com.

How to Build Your Own Recording Studio?
Today I received my Auralex Acoustics MudGuard from http://www.musiciansfriend.com . I still have a long way to go and a lot more equipment to buy though. This is my second step towards building my own recording studio. I think everybody knows, right now more than ever, you gotta make and think the best of what you have. In my mind, this mudguard is the most transportable, flexible, and cost effective method to try and control the unwanted echo when recording vocal tracks in untreated rooms. In my case my apartment. I also want something I can set up easily in hotel rooms when I travel. I spent a lil time reading about this product and others like it, I recommend this one because it had the most reviews and almost all were positive. It's original cost was 129.99, but I got it on sale for only 99.99. http://www.musiciansfriend.com is top notch when it comes to shipping, they provide the tracking number right away and give you the time of day to expect UPS.
The idea is to map out the most important equipment that you need and slowly work them into your budget.
