How To Build Your Own Recording Studio?

I'd like to start this off by saying thank you to all the people who are going out of their way to tell me how much they have appreciated these posts. Please allow me to express my gratitude for you as well. I sincerely thank you for reading and growing with me as my dreams continue to come to fruition. We all have a story and you are definitely a big part of mine.

I recently decided to convert the closet into a recording studio. This is definitely something that I've been waiting for and thinking about for a long time. The space I'm working with is not a lot at all, but I'm doing everything to get the best sound possible. Today I received the acoustic sound foam. It's a box of 32, 1 ft by 1 ft squares that go up on the walls. I ordered these from musicianfriends.com, which is my store of choice when it come to music equipment. They have a very fast shipping process and provide tracking numbers. The foam came with this special caulking glue which I'm not going to use for the sake of not ruining my walls and maybe being able to re-use the foam again in the future. My lady and I took a trip to Staples and got these Velcro patches that work like a charm. I don't know anything at all about the placement of these squares, or how sound bounces, so I'll just keep them parallel, try and cover as much space I can, and use my common sense. The good thing about not using the glue is that in case I don't like my first patterns or if i want to order another batch of squares to add to these--I can take them down with no problem. I also took this shelf from an old entertainment center and screwed it into the wall to hold the Macbook and speakers close, this way I can  record and master all at once.

What Is Juicy Burger?

This is not something I do a lot! Lol. But damn it's so good! If you're coming to Hollywood, It's a must that you add Juicy Burger at the Top of your list of things to do!
Juciy Burger lets you build these crazy, big ass, Burgers and choose from all kinds of toppings like fried egg, or caramelized onions, or bacon strips. The combos come with seriously enough fries to feed an entire family and they hook it up with all the special dipping sauces one could imagine. Haha. As you can tell, all this gives me a great deal of joy! Haha. Pls stay with me. I promise I'm about to do better.

Who is Joey Mack?

Right now I'm going to let you in on a lil secret.

I have a very good reason to believe Cincinnati has some of the most talented up-and-coming artists in the country right now. I could go on forever dropping names from artist all over the city and for infinity, if we talk about the state of Ohio in general, that I strongly feel deserve recognition and support. However, today's shout-out post goes out to the one and only, Joey Mack.
I picked Joey Mack for the simple fact that the numbers don't lie. Joey mack has over fans 12,000 fans on Facebook, almost 17,000 followers on twitter, and he's always ranked in the Top 10 in Cincinnati on reverbnation. His new mixtape "Kickin it Fresh" is super dope and can be found clocking views fast on dattpiff.com, my two fav tracks are "Lord Knows" and "Never Say Never". Joey Mack is, and has been, doing steady shows in Cincinnati and all around the Mid-West for some while now. If you wanna talk about flat out hustle, Joey Mack can show you a thing or two about how it's done. In just a few short years I've watch Joey Mack single-handedly establish his self as a dope MC, a true leader, and an excellent representation of what the 513 is all about. For those of you who are clueless, this kid is with out a doubt a big up-and-coming start!

Joey, you definitely have come a long way and have a bright future ahead of you. God bless you my man, and may the force be with you.

If I was asked to describe his rhymes in three words I'd say smooth, confident, and cool. Honestly, for a talent like this it's only a matter of time before he's inked his first deal.
